Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before booking a service with us.

Effective Date: January 1, 2025

1. Agreement to Terms

By scheduling, booking, or using any service provided by Home Reset Cleanout ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Home Reset Cleanout provides junk removal, hauling, and cleanout services in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, including but not limited to:

  • Furniture and appliance removal
  • Estate and house cleanouts
  • Construction and demolition debris removal
  • Yard waste and outdoor junk removal
  • Hoarding cleanouts
  • General household junk removal

All services are subject to availability and our right to refuse service at our sole discretion.

3. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes provided by phone, online form, or in person are estimates only. Final pricing is determined on-site based on the volume, weight, type of material, and labor required to complete the job. We provide a firm, binding price before any work begins — you are never obligated to proceed after receiving your on-site quote.

Prices are based on the amount of truck space your items occupy. Additional charges may apply for items that require extra labor, special handling, or disposal fees (e.g., refrigerants, tires, hazardous materials).

4. Payment

Payment is due in full upon completion of service. We accept cash, major credit/debit cards, and other payment methods as communicated at the time of service. We do not offer payment plans unless expressly agreed to in writing prior to the job.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand plans change. We ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Same-day cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee. No-shows without prior notice may result in a trip charge.

6. Prohibited Items

For safety, legal, and environmental reasons, we cannot accept the following items:

  • Hazardous waste (paint, solvents, chemicals, pesticides)
  • Asbestos-containing materials
  • Medical or biohazardous waste
  • Explosives, ammunition, or flammable materials
  • Motor oil, gasoline, or other fuels
  • Any material illegal to transport under federal, state, or local law

Customers who misrepresent items for removal may be charged additional fees and held liable for any resulting fines, penalties, or cleanup costs.

7. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Ensure all items to be removed are accessible and clearly identified before our crew arrives
  • Obtain any necessary permissions (e.g., HOA, landlord, co-owner) prior to scheduling removal
  • Disclose any known hazardous materials or conditions on the property
  • Ensure safe access to the property for our crew and vehicles

8. Property Damage

Our team takes reasonable care when removing items from your property. However, some minor scuffs, scrapes, or marks may occur during the course of normal removal work, particularly in tight spaces. We are not liable for pre-existing damage or damage resulting from normal wear-and-tear during the removal process.

Any claims of damage must be reported to us within 24 hours of service completion. We will review all claims in good faith and work to resolve disputes fairly.

9. Right of Refusal

Home Reset Cleanout reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to unsafe working conditions, presence of prohibited items, or abusive behavior toward our staff.

10. Eco-Friendly Disposal

We are committed to responsible disposal. Where possible, we donate usable items to local charities, recycle materials, and divert waste from landfills. However, we do not guarantee the donation or recycling of any specific item.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Home Reset Cleanout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the performance of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the service giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Home Reset Cleanout, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your negligence or misconduct.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved in the courts of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
